Question for Grand Theft Auto III
Hey, I have a question. Alright, I've been on the first island for sometime now. I've beaten ALL missions except the one where you and Eight-Ball have to put a bomb on the large boat. I have also answered ALL the payphones. I don't know what to do.
I've tried using cheats to get to the island, but they were hard to understand and they didn't work. I'm trying to be patient....BUT IT'S NOT WORKING! I'm bored on island one.....HELP!!

They should give you a sniper rifle. Go pick up eight ball and go to the docks--duh.
Run towards the boat, but go up the stairs that runs along the outside of the building on the right.
Take the stairs to the roof and go stand on the corner--you should now be on the pink dot on your map.
Zoom in with the sniper rifle by pressing x and shoot the columbians (to zoom out, press a).
Aim quickly and start with the men guarding the ramp, and work your way going from left to right shooting the men.
There are only about 8 or 10 of them. 8-ball then goes in and does his thing and then you get to do a dance cause you just had part in blowing up a really big boat.

Obviously, just complete the mission with 8-Ball (Bomb the Base:Act 2). When you complete it you have to do a few more missions and then you can get to Island 2.
Best way to complete Bomb the Base.
When you drive to the dock dont get out of your car. Drive up a small bit but dont alert the two guards beside the pick-up truck.
Take uot your rifle and snipe one of them. The other one should run behind his truck, crouch on his knees and try to shoot you. Simply, snipe him. Then Snipe as many as you can on the boat without getting any closer. Then take out an Uzi or an AK-47 and aim at as many Colombians as you can. KILL THEM ALL! Once thats done is Mission Complete.
BUT BE CAREFUL WHEN AIMING WITH THE UZI/AK-47 BECAUSE IT WILL AIM AT WHO EVER IS CLOSEST TO YOU. THAT INCLUDES 8-BALL. GET OUT OF 8-BALL'S WAY WHEN YOUR AIMING SO AS NOT TO KILL HIM!

Use the slow pill when you're sniping people off, makes it a lot easier to get them before they kill 8ball...

Go to the parking lot below 8-ball's shop and behind the glass is a very fast Banshee. Break the glass and steal the car,then use the dodo cheat code to fly the car across the Callahan Bridge.
Then go around on the right side of the orange barracades and floor it. When the car starts to lift pull back slightly on the left stick to bring the nose up or else the Banshee will dive into the ocean!! It is worth it but it may take a few times to fly across and just be patient!!!
