Some hints for winning games:.
.
.
The shotgun formation has helped me alot in this game. The running plays from the shotgun are especially helpful, as most people you are playing will automatically think pass when they see the shotgun formation..
.
.
Use the Hot Routes! If your man is covered by just one defender, send him downfield in the hopes of him beating his defender. This will give you a big boost in yardage..
.
.
Build up a 'My Plays' section. It is very helpful when you want to select a particular play that you know will get you the required yardage..
.
If you don't have a 'My Plays' section yet, or you want to use a play that you hardly ever use and isn't in your 'My Plays' selection and you're not sure which formation the play is in- press the start button, go to Audibles, and search around until you find the play you want. Either put it in your Audibles or select the play at the 'select play' screen..
.
.
Screen plays are very helpful, and can get you big yardage. Don't rely on them too often though, as your HB or FB won't always get open..
.
.
Don't be tempted to always throw to your no.1 man. You won't believe how many times I got picked off when throwing to a double-covered Terell Owens. .
.
.
If the button above a receiver's head is flashing, it means he is open. THROW TO HIM!!!.
.
.
Playaction Passes rarely work in Fever..
.
.
Trick Plays rarely work in Fever. Occasionally you'll break a huge play for a Touchdown, but most of the times you'll lose yardage or fumble the ball..
.
.
Never be tempted to throw the ball in a crowd if you're being rushed. Always throw the ball away or rush around towards the sidelines and take a knee at the line of scrimmage. I recommend the former for most people, the latter for Falcon fans..
.
.
When on defense, it's always good to have a blitz or two. More often then not the opposing QB will turn the ball over. If it's succesfull, running plays will be useless. If it's not succesful, look out for a large gain..
.
.
Zone defence is always better than Man defence, except when in a [Insert Down Here] and Goal situation..
.
.
When selecting plays against a human opponent, press in the right trigger in order to hide your play selection. Pulling the left trigger as well will keep the selection screen up after you've selected your play. If doing this, remember to not let go of the right trigger until you've let go of the left! Releasing the right trigger first will show your opponent what play you've selected, and will give your opponent a chance to Audible into a play that is more than likely going to stop your team dead in it's tracks..
