Introduction

Its that time of year again when WWE releases it's most succsessful video game series on the PS2.

Every year this game is met with such high hopes, the hype for the game is increadible. But every year the game gets mixed reactions.

This years edition, SmackDown! Vs. RAW 2006, has taken a BIG step in a new direction. Leaving behind it's old format of Arcade gaming and entering the world of Sports games.

On the outside. SmackDown! Vs. RAW 2006 looks the best yet, but what is it like inside the game? Thats what this revie is all about!

Graphics

Wow... Look at Carlitos hair! It looks so real..........................

Yes I think it's safe to say that SmackDown! Vs RAW 2006 has got the best graphics a WWE has ever had. It could give some games a run for their money in the graphics.

The attention to detail is unbelieveable! I've had the game for about 2 weeks now and I still cannot get over the graphics.

Even wrestling moves have been redone to look more like the TV show's moves.

But... We come to the crowd. Now I know what some people are thinking. "Dude, it's a wrestling game! Why do you want to waste all of the graphics on people sitting in seats?" Well I agree with you, it's just that... The crowd hasn't seemed to have changed from last years edition.

Sound

THQ should hire some REAL music lovers to do the soundtrack.

I really dislike this years soundtrack, as THQ has decided to make pratically all of the music Rap music. I think they may have only done this due to John cena becoming a Rap Artist.

I personally am a HUGE rock lover. So I was disappointed in the number of Rock songs... There are only about 4 (I'm proberly wrong, but trust me there isn't a lot!)

If your a hardcore rock fan, then you may want to mute the TV and stick on a CD. If you like Rap... Then this soundtrack is for you.

As for the Enterance music. Nearly everybody's music is spot on! But for some reason Stacy STILL dosn;t have her real music.

Gameplay

I gave this a 9 due to the new controls.

People who have played the last two games will be fairly new used to this, but you still may need a practice with the new irish whip buttons.

But now, instead of 16 front grapple moves, a wrestler now has 20!

There is even a "Possum" attack, and you can steal your opponents taunt! Loads of things here to keep a match going on for a long time

The one thing though... Is that when you have to play matches with legend difficulty on, it is EXTREMLY hard and can get VERY annoying at times

Lastability

So many unlockables!

So much to see, so much to do! 2 Seasons... Loads of branching storylines, General Manager Mode, 16 trophys to collect and 60 challenges

Create A Wrestler, Create a Belt, Create A PPV, Create An Enterance... So much to do

This game will keep you occupided for a few weeks... Maybe even a month if your a slow gamer

Overall

Overall, this game gets a 9

Like all games it does have a few flaws... But most of the time they are forgotton about due to SmackDown! Vs. RAW 06's perfections.

This game is deffinatly worth of taht few ��/$$$ you have in your poket. Its a good little time killer
