To get the Tinkering Aficionado achievement/trophy you must install 6 upgrades or modifications in any combination on a single ship. You can do this by leveling up a Tier VI non-premium ship. Tier VI ships include 3 mod slots and 3 upgrade slots for a total of the needed 6. Filling up all the slots will require a considerable amount of XP and millions of credits. You can however speed up the process of gathering them by using Epic Credit Boosters.
