At the start not all of the game modes and content will be available and will require fulfiling certain criteria to unlock it. To begin with Tournament mode is Mii only but can eventually be unlocked for use at Level 3.

amiibo League:

Get 25 medals in any mode.

Carnival Challenge:

Get 20 medals in any mode.

Heroes Showdown:

Either get 3 tournament medals or alternately get medals in ALL Single Match Events.

Item Stand: Mario Edition:

Hold 250 coins in hand.

Item Stand: Rio Edition:

Hold 50 coins/rings in hand.

Item Stand: Sonic Edition:

Hold 250 rings in hand.

Play as Any Character in Tournament Mode:

Beat ALL Level 3 Tournaments.

Tournament Mode:

Play 3 Single Matches

Music Selection:

Beat ALL Level 1 Tournaments.
