The Thunder Dragon's Lightning Road

The Thunder Dragon's Lightning Road is a mini-game in Skyward Sword and a way to replay the boss battles and silent realms. I'll be mostly focusing on the boss fights though. You can play it once you revisit the dragon after saving him.

Boss Battles

Boss Battles is simple, but it certainly isn't easy. You'll fight eleven bosses in a row (all twelve if you are playing Hero Mode), though you can always quit after defeating a boss. You won't be able to heal yourself at all. The only items you'll be able to use are the items you had when you fought the boss the first time and your shield. There really aren't that much tricks you can use, so just be sure to use your shield and block a lot! One thing I do know though, is that you can jump on the head of the Imprisoned by using the wind to get on a higher level, so that should at least make that fight easier.

Lanayru will give you 50 Rupees when you are able to beat the record time and each time you defeat a boss he will offer you a reward if you quit. You'll have to quit if you want the reward he offers! (But don't worry, you can always replay the mini-game if you want them all.) He offers the following rewards:

After beating boss 1: 20 Rupees

After beating boss 2: Small Treasure

After beating boss 3: 100 Rupees

After beating boss 4: Piece of Heart

After beating boss 5: 300 Rupees

After beating boss 6: Rare Treasure

After beating boss 7: 500 Rupees

After beating boss 8: Hylian Shield

After beating boss 9: 2000 Rupees

After beating boss 10: 3 Rare Treasures

After beating boss 11: Rupees

After beating boss 12: 9900 Rupees

Be sure to pick up the Hylian shield and the Heart Piece!

Silent Realm

Now the silent realm is really difficult, so I haven't really bothered with it, but I'm sure there are some shortcuts, so search for some videos on YouTube if you're going to try it. You have to find all tears in the silent realm you chose, and your reward will depend on the amount of minutes it took you to find them. This are the rewards:

5 Rupees for a bad time, 20 Rupees for an average time, 100 Rupees for a good time and a Blue Bird Feather, Golden Skull or Goddess Plume for a great time.

Now what is a bad, average, good and great time you may ask? Well it depends on the Silent Realm. Here are the times in minutes:

Farore's Silent Realm: Great is less than 3:00, good is 3:00 till 3:45, average is 3:45 till 4:45 and bad is anything more than 4:45.

Nayru's Silent Realm: Great is less than 4:15, good is 4:15 till 5:30, average is 5:30 till 6:45 and bad is anything more than 6:45.

Din's Silent Realm: Great is less than 6:00, good is 6:00 till 7:30, average is 7:30 till 9:00 and bad is anything more than 9:00.

The Goddess' Silent Realm: Great is less than 4:00, good is 4:00 till 5:15, average is 5:15 till 6:00 and bad is anything more than 6:00.
