What are these challenges and how do you unlock them?

There are closed/hidden challenges in the challenge mode. To unlock or "beat" them you can do stuff like beat classic mode, fight in different stages with friends, beat stages in the Sub Space Emissary and so on. As one breaks/unlocks you should see red challenges around the one that broke. There it can tell you what you have to do to unlock/break the one that's red.

Chalenges are well challenges you have to beat. You do this by clearing special tasks like plying ten times with a certian charecter, clearing cassic on a certian level, or just clearing the S.S.E.
thier prizes are trophies, music, and stages.

The challenges are just things you can do to unlock stickers, trophies, stages, etc. The ones with the ??? Means you don't know what mode it is or what character it is. It usually tells you how to unlock them, except when it has the ???. You'll have to wait until later to try and unlock that.

Challenges are accomplished by doing certain tasks and the more you beat the more ??? You unlock

??? Challenges are challenges you have to do after doing unlocking something specific for the challenge(example is to clear boss mode on easy difficulty, but if you don't have boss mode yet, instead it will say beat ??? On easy difficulty).

Challenges are like things you accomplished in SSBB.
The rewards may be a trophy, CD, sticker, stage, edit parts for Stage Builder, or even a hammer.
Examples:
Get 500 Trophies
Reward: Baby Peach (trophy)
Complete Classic on Hard difficulty
Reward: Credits (Super Smash Bros.) (music)
Hit 12,00 Ft combined with all fighters in Home Run Contest
Reward: Boo (Mario Tennis (Sticker)
Make 10 Stages in Stage Builder
Reward: Edit Parts B
