I am stuck and can't get through to the next level 4, it says to hit this big statue from below to realise a star block but I can't work out how to do it. I am on level 3 ( I think ) and have just defeated chunks

Try flipping to 3-D mode and see if that helps.
On that part you need to go all the way back the other way, then you'll flip and there'll be a blue switch or something like that to hit after that the stone statue should rise.
On this website go to the walk through guide look at the first walk through.
Turn to 3D if it looks like yoshi run around it..while in 3D...Hope this helps...
