Question for Super Mario Galaxy 2

I got 241 stars in the game but the comet for the 242nd star wont come. What am I doing wrong

Oh, this is a special comet that will only appear when certian conditions are met. But believe me, this is probably the hardest level in Mario history (maybe not as hard as SMB: The LOst Levels) since it is the same mission but daredevil and no checkpoints! To unlock this comet, you must fulfill the following requests in order to unlock the mission:

-Collect 241 Power Stars in all of the previous galaxies, including prankster comets, hidden missions , and even the green power stars.
-Obtain all comet medals in all of the galaxies in the game, even the medal in Grand Master Galaxy.
-Collect and deposit 9999 star-bits to Toad's star-bit bank from any galaxy (ies).

After fulfilling these requirments, a prankster comet should hover over the galaxy. But unlike other comets, you will not be notified that you unlocked it. You must go out and see for yourself once you finished all of these requirements listed above. The mission is dare-devil, there are no check-points, and the difficulty has been increased by around three-fold. There are also no coins, star-bits, or 1-Up Mushrooms (except at the end), so good luck; you're going to need alot of luck and lives!
