Dodging and Running

Dodging and Running

I'm not too far into the game but am running into some problems. When fighting the first "crab-like" creature little icons pop up to "shake wii remote around" or "press A" or "press B"...I assume this means rapidly but it doesn't always work to dodge the attack. I'm at a spot now where something is about to blow up and it gives me the same icons (shake wii remote back and forth) but it never lets me run away and I always die. I can't get past this part in the game. Am I doing something wrong? Please help!

Hi,
I had this problem too.
If it's saying press A and/ or B, you have to do it instantly and firmly.
I couldn't get any of the shake commands to work, but I then discovered when I tried to play Wii Tennis that my racquet seemed to be constantly swinging.
It turned out that there was a problem with my Wii mote: the A and B buttons, and all other functions were working but anything that meant shaking it wasn't.
I found a fix online for this: unplug the wii mote, hold it so that the A button is facing down, and smack it firmly on the palm of your hand.
Amazingly, this works and I'm almost finished Umbrella Chronicles.
This is a genuine fix: Google it and you'll see!!

If you find it hard to do the commands try the wii zapper configuration but without the gun I find it's easier because all of the commands contain either z, b or shaking the nunchuk

If you want to change the settings go on options select controller configuration then select the top button to change it to zapper
