Question for Mario Strikers Charged

In most online games I play with people over wi-fi, they kick the ball in the air to their team-mates and when they are close to the goal they do a slo-mo scene and almost always get a goal. Can you tell me how to do this because I have no idea. I can pass the ball and I can kick it in the air, but I can't do both at the same time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I'm sure exactly what you mean, but here's how you do the whole thing:

First off, to get the ball up in the air, you need the Z button. Normally, the Z button will chip the ball forward some meters, but if you hold it down, it won't. While holding Z down, you can press B to kick the ball in the air, which won't give you good scoring chances, but is helpful if you want to get the ball away. Or you can press A while holding Z to pass the ball in the air - this is just like normal passing, there's nothing more to it.

Now, if I understood your question correctly, you want to know how to kick the ball in slow-motion just as you receive it from an air-pass. To do this, you must (of course) first pass in the air. When the ball comes close to the receiver, press B. Pressing B several times or holding it down could help (it won't do anything bad, at least, so it's worth trying). Also, the ball should be charged to a pretty high level (I think it has to be white, but yellow may work as well). By doing this, you should get the slow-mo effect and a pretty good shot.

To get the ball properly charged before you pass, you can of course do it by passing it around, but also by holding B. The ball will get charged, then do an air pass before you release that button. That step isn't necessary, but it's very useful.

What usually works for me is to keep charging the ball until it's white, then I pass it to a strong shooter such as Hammer Bro or Birdo. But they have to kick it, not hold it.

Z+A= pass threw the air
