My son and I can't get out of the race. Can someone please help. How do we complete Episode 1 chapter 4? I don't know if there is a glitch, but the race keeps starting over. What do we need to do to move forward? It actually makes me motion sick to play this chapter so I need help soon. Thanks.

Well, you have to go faster than sabulba. It restarts becuase it actually seperates each area. Every time Sabulba beats you in an area it restarts the area until you defeat him.
Are you flying over the green ramps? They give you an extra boost. You have to hit most of them on the last leg to get in front of Sabulba.
Ok i'll give you the best answer you'll find. You have to go over the speed boosts (green arrows on the ground.) Also I reccomend you do it one player if you are doing two player now. Hope I helped.
I found that I couldn't get through it, with or without my son, until I used the left hand motion stick. I usually just use the direction buttons on the left side of the controller and couldn't ever catch Subulba...after an hour of trying it on my own one night (hitting all the ramps, etc.) I thought there must be some way...I kept the left hand motion stick pushed forward the whole time and also used it to move left and right...sure, enough, it gave me the speed to catch up, pass, and bear him.
TURN OFF ADAPTIVE DIFFICULTY in the settings menu - as soon as we turned that off, we won the race and were able to proceed.
It should only resart three times. Its probably a glitch or a scratch on the disc
There is no way to win in two player mode. We switched to single player after reading this and won on the first try.
Go to Cantina and change the Adaptive Difficulty to off. Only play on one player mode.
You can speed up by pressing fowward direction button continously.
It is acceleration key.
Only left and right button doesn't wotk
I know I was getting dizzy from this part of the game too.
When you playing Pod race, Nunchuk controller, joy stick part, turn to up means speed up and turn to down means speed down. And using green ramp is make faster. It's little trick. Use Nunchuk controller way to up, defeat sebuluba is piece of cake.
The things suggested all helped some, but you should just go straight to single player. It makes a really big difference, and it's super simple to do, and easier to control.
We have turned adaptive difficulty off. We are playing in single player mode. We are constantly pressing up on the joystick. We are doing all the things listed in this post, but we are still not able to beat Sebulba. :(
This is ridiculous. Is there anyway to bypass this race? Is there any way at all to get around this section of the game?
For the longest time I thought my game just glitched and I could never finish. BUT then I read the comments--so, make sure that you're pushing forward on your controller. For Lego Wii, it's the left hand toggle. It doesn't repeat if you beat Sebulba, but you have to accelerate or you won't win.
