How do you beat the Black Knight with Ike in a duel.

The best lightest sword?!?!? NO! Use Ragnell
It gives a lot of damage and can strike from afar.
Also, put Ike on a pillar. If he is at least level 15 or higher, his attack will do more damage than the Black Knight's attacks.
Just as a precaution, though, have Ike have at least a couple Vulneraries and one concoction or elixir.

Give ike a hammer, leave him where he starts, make sure he has 34 speed or higher and keep nihil on him or hes doomed. You might wanna give him a elxir and a few vulneraries and an iron sword if you wanna get the wishblade

Umm rly, you can only use Ragnell to damage the black knight so... If, like random said, you want to get the wishblade off of the Sentinal miniboss on the other side of the boundry, then by all means use another sword (and healing items) to keep ike from prematurely disposing of the knight. Its not recommended unless you have some RLY beast charrys in you're squad though, or you spam the laguz kings you probly brought, because the enemy can easily overwhelm you with sheer numbers.

You can use the hammer. It'll only take 3-4 hits with it to kill the black knight. If you want the wish blade as well I suggest giving tibarn pass and position him up front where he can kill the enemy in front of the guy with the wish blade and give hart the boots and get the wish blade after have a conversation with the soldier about how he admired hart back when he flew for the begnion dracoknights
