Defeat Defender X
The easiest way to defeat Defender X is to use Provoke on him. If you do not switch out the character who used Provoke (this includes by summoning), Defender X will only attack them and no one else. But because Defender X uses a Blast Punch he will not be able to kill you which makes it impossible for you to lose.
