I have a crafting hut and have used vines to make 2 lots of rope. When I drag a villager over to the crafting hut it says: there is nothing they can use right now.
Is this a glitch? Why are they not using the rope?

You can only use the rope if there is a crack from the volcano erupting. Otherwise, they have no use for the rope.
