Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge Tips and Tricks

Listed below are several Beginner Tips and Tricks which will help you in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge.

Don't Skip the Tutorial Pop-Ups

Resist the temptation to skip the tutorial pop-ups that appear whenever you begin playing the game as these will teach you all the different moves that each of the characters can perform. Taking the time to learn the moves, some of which are unusual, will enable you to perform a particular move during a fight that could be the difference between losing a life and having to restart the level again to continuing your progression through the story.

Use different Characters

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge gives you the ability to switch between all the turtles, April, and Splinter (with the option of unlocking Casey Jones once you've completed Story mode). Each character has their own unique moves and animations, so it is recommended that you try out all the characters in order to find the one that best fits your play style.

Take Advantage of your Surroundings

Each of the levels in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge includes various items in your surroundings that you can use as traps to damage your enemies, an example of this is a spiky floor which you can throw an enemy onto. There are also obstacles in the environment of each episode that you will need to avoid as they can hurt you and your enemies, these include things like animal stampedes and passing cars.

Destroy Objects

As you progress through each of the levels you will come across objects you can smash, these include things like tool boxes, popcorn machines and Foot Clan crates. Make sure you take the time to destroy them as there is always the possibility that there is a hidden health-restoring pizza or secret item inside.

Pay Attention to Challenges

Each of the levels in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will have a set amount of goals in them. These will include things like killing a certain amount of enemies with jump attacks or forcing players to avoid getting hit by traps. Always pause the game before you begin a level, so you can check the active challenges in the game as completing them will earn you points that go towards leveling up.

Grabbing Pizzas

In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pizza will pop-up in the game naturally and when consumed will replenish your character's health. Keep in mind that the pizza will be consumed right away once you grab it and there is no way to save it for when you really need it. This means that unless you are about to die it is best to avoid grabbing the pizza until after the area is completed. If you are playing co-op you should give the pizza to the player whose character has the lowest health. There will be instances where there will be a party of pizzas in which case everyone will be able to heal.

Take a look at our Special Requests Guide to find out where to find each of the items you are asked to retrieve.
