How do I get rid of my fences?

At the bottom of the game there is a pink toolbar button. It will give you a little menu. There is a button on the menu that looks like a box and it will say 'storage' click on that and click the fences you want to remove. If you want to place them back down, go into the large green storage button underneath the Shop button and find them in the decorations section.
