How do you remove animals and trees that you have purchased from the shop

You can't. You must harvest and water the trees until they turn into dry trees, which yield one wood. Animals have a limit to which you can harvest their resources until they 'die'. This actually means they turn into carved wooded statues that you can get items from once. Cows have a limit of 8 and Chickens have a limit of either 4 or 5, I forgot which.
