Take Advantage of Mystic Artes during Combat

Mystic Artes in Tales of Arise are a powerful chain of attacks that deal plenty of damage when unleashed, and it is important that you take advantage of them to maximize damage during fights. Only Kisara and Dohalim can perform Mystic Artes, and they must be far enough into the story to have learned how to use Overlimit State before they can perform them by meeting a specific requirement.

- Perform enough Perfect Dodges or receive enough damage to enter Overlimit State

- Hold down any two Arte buttons (Y/Triangle, X/Square, A/X)

- A short animation will play, signifying the Mystic Arte's activation

Using your Mystic Arte will instantly end your Overlimit State, so try to save it until the gauge is almost empty. During combat you can equip different Artes by opening the Artes menu. This means that you can easily swap between Artes in order to try them out. It is recommended that this is something that you do during battles that are not important. There are several Overlimit skills available on the Skill Panel menu which range from making Overlimit State easier to enter to making it last longer, and you should prioritize picking them up as soon as possible to make Mystic Artes easier to perform.
