Similar to the Rapier, this weapon is geared for offense, particularly focused on debilitating enemies with the Bleed status ailment. It has good reach but leaves the user with lots of openings so continuous combos may be hard to pull unless you’re chaining Skills. One of the early skills katana-wielders can acquire is Tsujiguruma, which only requires 50 mastery level; on top of the bleed effect, a minute-long damage reflect buff also takes effect, further enhancing your damage output against enemies already losing HP through the Bleed effect. This status ailment can be devastating in the long run, especially if the katana-wielder manages to stack the effects through extensive skill chains.
