A second player can join as a Support Trainer by waving a second controller at any time.

First, detach the Joy Con you want to play with first, then, give the second Joy Con to a friend or family memeber. Make sure you are in the game (Meaning « Continue your adventure » option when you boot up game.). Secondly, make sure you have two Pokémon . It only works when you have two Pokémon (I think). Tell player two to shake the Joy Con (not to rough, obviously) a second player will appear the opposite gender of the main character AKA Player 1. Finally, enjoy playing Pokémon Let’s Go! (No, you can not change Player 2’s Gender)
