Gold Rings
Gold Rings are the games's soft currency and are used for upgrading your characters and Sprites and should be used for such whenever possible. Gold Rings can be found all over the track and you should try and collect as many as you can. Gold Rings also act as a 'shield' during gameplay allowing you to get back up and continue a run if you hit an enemy or spike. There are also power-ups that contain 10 or 20 Gold Rings apiece, along with magnet power-ups that suck in Gold Rings regardless of which lane they’re in.
Red Star Rings
Red Star Rings are the game’s hard (premium) currency and controls things that are not directly tied to the mechanics of running. Red Star Rings can be used for several things such as continuing a run when you screw up, getting more Event Tickets when you have run out, purchasing new Sprites and characters, purchasing additional rows for your Sprite inventory, and unlocking new slots for the Sprites you bring with you on runs. Red Star Rings can also be used for upgrading your characters.
Blue Orbs
Although not really a currency Blue Orbs are still worth collecting because when you have enough of them you can activate a Dash by double tapping the screen. Blue Orbs are generally found in long lines similar to those of Gold Rings while you run.
