How to Upgrade your Pressure Suit in Shinsekai: Into the Depths

In Shinsekai: Into the Depths it is essential that you continually upgrade your pressure suit whenever possible so that you are able to dive deeper into the depths below. If you do not upgrade your pressure suit he game will block off lower portions of the map with red 'water' that will crush your suit until you upgrade your resistance.

There are several minerals you need to mine in order to get the various pressure suit upgrades: the yellow mineral, the green crystal, and the gray mineral. The only way in which you can obtain these minerals and crystals is by mining and harvesting them from the nodes in the walls.

The most important mineral you need to collect is the red stone material as these chunks of rock are used exclusively to upgrade your suits pressure resistance which is essential for game progression. The easiest way to find all these materials is to use the Hammer Sonar technique which is performed by pounding the sea floor so you reveal any materials in a radius around you on the map and by using your headlamp. Scales will appear as you collect the red stone material and once they are level you will then be able to purchase the next upgrade. To do so you need to enter the main menu with the Plus/Start button and select 'Upgrade'.
