Get Familiar with All the Weapons

There are several different types of weapons you can use in Shinsekai: Into the Depths to defend yourself against the aggressive sea creatures you encounter as you explore underwater and it is recommended that you try out each of them so you know what they are capable of.

Your starting harpoon gun has a burst fire of multiple harpoons and is able to deal a decent amount of damage. It can be upgraded to fire more harpoons. The mine gun is particularly effective at clearing out groups of common creatures, but it's total damage output is not as good as the harpoon gun. The most random of the weapons available is the electric wire gun where to be effective the target must be caught in the electric wire and even then there is no guarantee it will damage the creature. As the electric wire gun is unreliable you are probably better off not using it.
