Full Review for Scarface: The World Is Yours by Tyla2k7

Introduction

When first hearing about Scarface the world is yours I was worried. Could Radical Games do justice to such a great film? I baught the game, and was immediatly dragged into the mansion shoot-out from the movie's final scene. Blasting several of Sosa's men as they charged into the mansion was fun, but also accuratly re-created. I span around and shot(in the movie) Tony's killer. Blasting my way through ton's of Sosa's assasin's I made my way towards Tony's limosine, and just about escaped with my life. From there I had to control a fully controlable Tony to re-build his drug empire from scratch.

Graphics

Miami is supurbly created to the finest details. Gleaming waterways, golden sandy beaches and tropical islands are created to perfection. The film's babylon club is accuratly re-created to it's film counterpart, as is Tony's island mansion. Lopez Motors from the film is also accuratly re-created, but as Diaz Motors(the diaz brothers seized this upon tony's downfall).The only dissapointment I found was character's mouth's don't move when they speak, but apart from that, everything is good.

Sound

The soundtrack of Scarface : The world is yours isnt as good as GTA, but a wide variety of music types and songs are accesible. Players can choose to play songs from the whole libary, or play mixes of music types such as 'Hip-Hop', 'Rock' 'Reggae' and Scarface(the movie)'s original soundtrack by Giorgio Moroder including songs such as 'Push It To The Limit', 'Vamos Ai Bailar' and 'Rush Rush'

Gameplay

Excellent. Players control a fully accessible Tony who has been accuratly created and voiced by an exellent voice actor, hand chosen by Pacino himself. Players can Taunt AI by pushing the L3 button in veichles and O on foot. Taunting is extremly funny 'upon smashing over a pedestrian and pushing the taunt button, Tony shouts from the window 'Hahaha, Fucking look, Oh man his fucking shoes came off haha shit' A wide variety of item's are available for Tony to purchase through 'Exotics'. As Tony's reputation increases, more and more lucrative Exotics(such as sports cars, henchmen, major investments and boats) are unlocked for purchase. Upon purchase, you can switch from Tony to the Henchmens characters(Driver, Enforcer, Assasin) at any time, and perform tasks from Tony. A wide range of ped veichles and purchable veichles are accesable and drivable, but Purchasable cars tend to have more speed, handling and armor than street cars. As you progress through reputation levels, more and more weapons are unlocked. You start out with Tony's defualt pistol(.38 Automatic) and a .45 Handgun, but are quickly introduced to Uzi's and the Shotgun. Upgrades to your weapons are also available through your Weapons dealer. Upgrades such as silencers and add-on's, such as the grenade launcher from Scarface the movie.

Lastability

The storyling is long and challenging but not to the standards of GTA. Players must start out dealing product with street dealers, and obtaining drugs by completing 'felix leads' to unlock suppliers and therefore uncreasing your flow of product to the streets of miami. As you progress through the game, higher suppliers are unlocked. Players can travel to tropical islands to make deals for keys of cocaine, to be distributed via storehouses. After assasinating the Diaz Brothers(Little Havana), Nacho Contreras(Downtown) you finally take over the last two districts(South and North beach) and have enough power to take on Sosa. In the last mission you first assasinate your disloyal Lawyer(George Sheffield), then Gaspar Gomez(Controller of South and North Beach) and finally Sosa, giving you control of the drug business.

Overall

Radical Games have done a great job making Scarface : The World Is Yours, and I think one of the best film tie in's in gaming history. The voicing, soundtrack, storyline and gameplay are great. The game is definatly worth buying, and I personally guarentee you, you wont be dissapointed.
