Introduction

Runescape is one of the biggest games around and it's widely known to many people in the world. Runescape is a free roaming game in which you can build skills, do quests ect. You can't beat the game, it's prefered as a life-style rather than side activity. There is a members option with the game as well. Why? Everytime someone logs into runescape, they cost bandwidth and jagex needs money to keep runescape running. So without members, there would be no runescape.

Graphics

The graphics aren't the greatest you'll ever see. Its purely 3d, and everything looks like what it's supposed to be, but some things just lack any detail. (yeah there is a high detail, but I mean like items). The characters have no face... Thats creative. Except for the.. I guess eyes? The monsters before were just too plain looking, now there pretty feirce looking. I for one do not like the new layout for the icons. They look like they were designed for preschoolers. Everything else is fairly decent...

Sound

The sound... The sounds sound like they came straight from an SNES game. There not too realistic sounding, but it's an online game, honestly I can't expect too much. Most people turn down the music because the music isn't really the greatest in the world. There just rendered MIDI files. But there is quite a lot of music, Jagex worked hard on that.

Gameplay

The gameplay is simple. To play runescape, all you'll need is a computer, internet, mouse, keyboard, and you can play. Runescape consists of mostly just clicking. To move you just click on the map or the screen. The only difficulty of runescape is the training and/or money making. Runescape requires TONS of patience, and if you got that kind of patience, you can get through runescape ok. This game wasn't ment for kids with ADD. Runescape is fun if you know what your doing, and that brings up another thing, lots of my friends started runescape, then stopped the same day because they just couldn't figure it out. I guess I knew what I was doing when I played or something. Whats the point of Tutorial Island when most people just give up anyway?

Lastability

Runescape is totally addictive, and you will want to come back for more. Every day Jagex makes millions. Runescape's been online for 7 years! Everyone knows about this game and either loves it or hates it. I have a strong, safe bet that runescape will be on for a very long time... The game does get bigger every day.

Overall

Runescape sinks in the music/sound and graphics department, but it has a charm that can't be matched by any other MORPG. Well after writing this review, I already want to go and play it. The game can be tedious and boring after awhile, but you know, it's a fun game and theres some players that are addicted to it, and others who could care less, whatever, the games intresting, I'd suggest anyone go and play it. If you can twitch a finger, you can play runescape.
