How to get New Armour in RoboCop: Rogue City
Give Alex Murphy a different look as he clears the streets of Old Detroit as RoboCop. This How to Get New Armor in RoboCop: Rogue City guide will not only tell you how to get alternate suits of armor but also how to equip them.
There are currently only two alternate suits of armor you can get your hands on in RoboCop: Rogue City to give our hero a different look as he patrols the mean streets of Old Detroit dispensing justice to criminals. These iconic suits from the movies can only be acquired through the game's pre-order and Alex Murphy Edition bonuses, respectively.
Alex Murphy Edition Alternate Armored Suit
If you pre-ordered an early copy of RoboCop: Rogue City you will have the Alex Murphy Edition which enables you to wear the Damaged Armor from the first RoboCop movie. In the Alex Murphy pack you will get the following:
- RoboCop Rogue City - Base Game
- Damaged Armor - RoboCop Movie
- Auto-9 Pistol - Prototype
- OCP Shotgun - Secondary Weapon
- Digital Artbook
Vanguard Pack Alternate Armored Suit
If you purchased a copy of RoboCop: Rogue City just before the game was released you will have the Vanguard Pack which will give you access to an exclusive Pitch Black version of the RoboCop's signature Auto-9 Pistol. It will also enable you to don the Blue Armor suit from the movie RoboCop 2. In the Vanguard Pack you will get the following:
- Auto-9 Pistol - Pitch Black
- Blue Armor - RoboCop 2 Movie
Note: If you purchased the Alex Murphy Edition you will also get the Vanguard Pack.
The Damaged and Blue Armor suits were only available as pre-orders. You don't unlock any new armor for beating the game or completing set objectives, getting those specific editions was the only way.
These armored suits are purely cosmetic, they are skins and will not offer you any tactical advantages or additional Skills. During the many cinematics the alternate armored suits will be on full display if RoboCop has equipped one.
It is unclear whether new armored suits will be released at a future date, if so it will likely be as a DLC pack.
How to Change Armor in RoboCop: Rogue City
If you pre-ordered RoboCop: Rogue City you will have the option to switch the armor Alex Murphy is wearing as RoboCop to either the Damaged or Blue Armor suits that were seen in the movies to give the game a refreshing look.
In order to change RoboCop and his Auto-9 pistol skins you will need to go to the main menu and click the 'Options' menu. From there you need to select the 'Gameplay' tab and look for the 'RoboCop Skin' and 'Pistol Skin' options. If you have either the Alex Murphy Edition or the Vanguard Pack you will have access to an alternate armored skin.
You can only change skins on the 'Main Menu' screen and once the game has begun the option to change them disappears from the 'Pause' menu. The only way you can then change skins is by going back to the 'Main Menu' and loading up the game again.
