I have had my Wii for 4 months now and I think it's great, but Umbrella Chronicles really makes it stand out.I've just got it for christmas, and even though I cannot find a wii zapper in any stores, the game is excellent and one of the best I've played on my beloved console.
The graphics are vivid and lifelike, yet at the same time eerie, dark and mysterious. They suit the game perfectly, and they really fit in with the atmosphere of the game. There are a couple of flaws, but you can only spot them if you are actually looking for them (which I am because I'm reviewing it)!
The sound is great, i'ts very sombre and cruel, and it takes no prisoners and shows no mercy. It goes with the game pretty well, and when you're in a dark, empty room , and you can hear the faint thud of the Tyrant's giant feet on the concrete with only the creepy music backing you up, fear strikes into your heart.
The gameplay is awesome, and although you won't play it all in one go, if you play it in chapters at a time, it will leave you in suspense about what will happen in the next chapter. The game starts off slow, but slowly metamorphises into one of the greatest games on the Wii.
The game alone isn't that long, but once you've completed it, there's still extra scenarios to complete, and Umbrella Files to find and complete the collection to summarise the history of Resident Evil, so you understand what is really going on. Lasts much longer than you think!
The sound is excellent, the graphics are brilliant, the gameplay is perfect, and it will last you about a month of sheer brilliance of the entire experience of the ultimate Resident Evil finale, this will leave you shocked, ecstatic, and with more knowledge of the Resident Evil universe than you ever thought possible, this is a must-buy!
