Rage 2 features vehicular combat that includes buggies, trucks, and gyrocopters which you can drive in the game's open world. Check out our Rage 2 cheats and tips to find out how you can survive longer in this violent world.

Cheats, Tips and Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include the best ways to farm Feltrite and Project Points. As well as these hints and tips we also have a mini-guide here which goes into more details on some of the tips we have below:

Find the Arks

Make your first priority finding the Arks as they will contain lots of storage chests and Ark chests that will contain useful resources and crafting materials. The Arks are also the home to the Nanotrite Abilities that will give you an edge in combat.

Collect Feltrite

Feltrite is an important resource material you need to collect as it enables you to upgrade the Nanotrite Abilities of your character. If you bring up your menu and go to the 'Nanotrites' tab you will be able to see the full list of superpowers you've unlocked so far. Check out our Nanotrite Ablility Guide to find out about the diffent superpowers your can unlock.

Farming Feltrite

The most lucrative source of Feltrite comes in the form of the supply crates you find at bandit dens and abandoned areas. You will also find clusters of Feltrite protruding from the walls of these same areas. These are worthwhile pulling out of the walls they grow on as they yeild 24 Feltrite a piece. Feltrite can be found inside the brown Feltrite Crates and by shooting enemies who will drop a small amount when they are killed.

Feltrite Meteorite

During gameplay keep an eye on the skies for Feltrite meteorites, these fall to the earth randomly around the map and are the best way to get a lot of Feltrite quickly. Feltrite meteorites are not very often so make sure when one does fall you head over to it as quickly as possible.

Earn Project Points

There are 4 different skill trees in the game and you need Project Points to unlock them. There are several ways you can earn Project Points, this includes tasks such as clearing enemy outposts and collecting data pads. Once you have enough Project Points, go to the 'Projects' tab in your menu and spend them on new skills.

Farming Project Points

The quickest way to get a decent amount of Project Points is to complete the tasks and keep levelling up each Project. This can be made easier if you get Search & Recover up to level 7 in order to unlock the Icarus which will make getting around the map more trouble-free. Check out our Projects Guide to find out how you can farm Project Points.

Junk Items

You will notice that certain household objects that look like part of the environment will flash a dull red when you get close enough. These are junk items that you can sell to vendors to get extra cash.

Destroying Authority Sentries

Authority Sentries are the big laser turrets built into huge towers across the wasteland. These can be destroyed by shooting at them with your assualt rifle. You just need to aim for the big, glowing, blue vent on the front of each turret.

Use the Combat Shotgun

Take advantage of the Combat Shotgun, you will gain access to this weapon early on in the game and it is particularly effective at stripping away the armour off enemies, leaving them vulnerable to regular shots. Firing the Combat Shotgun without aiming will allow you to hit multiple enemies with a spread, while aiming down the sights will focus the pellets into a single slug shot. Check out our Weapon Locations page to find out where you can get the different weapons that are available in Rage 2.

MBTV Balloons

Keep an eye out for the MBTV balloons that periodically appear throughout the wasteland floating high in the sky around their marked locations. When you spot one you just have to shoot it down to collect the spoils inside which will usually be some resources.
