How and can you crouch???

Sorry, you can't crouch
Just recently, I have discovered a way you can crouch! Yes, I know! A breakthrough! You must be playing on advanced controls. Not default, basic, or retro. Sorry. Maybe I will find out a way to crouch with those controls, but it will probably be a while. Anyway, to crouch, you must be switched to advanced controls, and you have to slightly move the analog so then your character is walking slowly, and hold down strafe (L), and press jump/sprint (R). And there you have it, a crouching character!
geez why is it so much work ugh -_- i just want to know how to get down really low on the ground and shoot, it's lower then crouching.
Change your controls to advance and then press l and r while moving and then you can crouch
