To get dragonite ore, you need to kill the Rathalos and get to 4 star quests. Once you've done that go talk to the guy who let you mine on his farm. He will congratulate you and offer to give you more farm upgrades. Select the mines +1, you then must climb up the new ladder at the farm and mine in the new spot, there you can get union ore, dragonite ore, machalite ore and light crystals.
