See,i'll say this in 2 points.

1)Thanator :Complete the game and unlock Beast's Aegis IV skill.It gives you a thanator for a small amount of time.To get the leonopteryx, you WILL need Beast's Aegis IV!

2)Leonopteryx: I'm trying and I found a way to do it.When you spawn in Tantalus,Go to the place where you first ride it by going straight from the spawn point.Then activate Beast's Aegis IV.Now this is the tricky part.Use the thanator to make the jump from the semi-circle wooden Na'vi decoration, and try to land on the jagged rocks on the other end. If you do this correctly,your thanator will die and you will be standing on the rock. Jump and go to the tip of the rock. I hate to tell this but even I'm trying to jump from there, but it looks like you can't do it. Anyways you try,I got tired of dying and respawning and waiting for the skill to replenish. (P.S. : if you land on the jagged rock, it will show the location as either Lacuna or The Great Wall. And the only other option is to mod and get a banshee there to fly to the Well of Souls.)

You can try downloading a "trainer" for a pc version of the game.. Of course it needs to be for the same version of the game you have.. 1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2, ect.. And don't forget to add the trainer to your antivirus trusted list, or turn your antivirus off when your running the trainer, also set compatability on trainer and your game to "run as administrator".. Hope this helps somewhat you can do a google search for a trainer to find one compatable for your version of the game ;)
