You should be able to win the first dozen or so with the story deck provided. The best strategy win all these battles is to build an 'illegal' deck. 5 Exodia pieces and no other cards is the ultimate illegal Exodia deck, consistently winning 100% of games the second a turn begins. Exodia cards are banned because they are too strong for how little drawback they have.
How to get the Valedictorian Trophy
You will be awarded this trophy when you defeat GX Campaign. This can be achieved either by playing with the story deck provided or using you own deck which is recommended as in campaign you can use forbidden and limited cards. If you just focus on getting all 5 Exodia cards in your deck whilst stopping the enemy from attacking you will win matches very quickly regardless of which campaign you play.
Easy Duel Trophy
You must defeat 5Ds Campaign to be awarded this trophy. To do this you have to complete every duel and reverse duel in the campaign. It is optional whether you use story decks or make your own. You can speed things up by creating an Exodia deck by buying grandpa Moto’s card pack.

How to get the Sacrifice Trophy
To get this trophy you need to perform a tribute summon. You will most likely obtain this trophy while playing through the story. To be able to tribute summon you must have a 1-4 star monster on the field then tribute it to play a 5-6 star monster from your hand. When you do this you get the trophy. To summon monsters that are 7 or above you will need two tributes.
Easy Coalese Trophy
You get this trophy when you perform a Fusion Summon. You can get this easily in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Campaign and -The Ultimate Great Moth' Duel by using the story deck which has the cards present for summoning Gaia the Dragon Champion. You just need to get the following three cards.
- Gaia the Fierce Knight
- Curse of Dragon
- Polymerization
As long as you can get one monster to keep Weevil under control you will be able to bide your time until you have the set above. Once you have the three cards, activate Polymerization, select Gaia and Curse and then summon Gaia the Dragon Champion to get the trophy.
Easy Ultimate Form Trophy
This trophy is awarded when you perfor..

Starting Tips

Find Cards with Synergy Easy
When building your deck to use in duels you should check to see which cards have synergy. In Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist you can do this easily when you are in the Deck Editor and viewing a card by just pressing the R button to view releated cards. This feature will reveal all the cards that hve some synergy with your chosen card and will make it a lot easier to find support cards for key monster or archetypes.
Take advantage of this feature when building decks around key monsters as it allows you to quickly see what support cards you have in your deck along with those you should have. If you do not have the card it enables you to get a name so you can look up to see which packs it comes in.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist Deck Editor

Focus on Building One Strong Deck First
When you begin playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist you won't have many cards in your trunk. It is not until you start earning DP from duels and start spending it on card packs and getting rewards from victories that your card collection will begin to grow.
Make a note of what kinds of decks your opponents use and then start putting together a deck which you think will be effective against them. To start with you should focus on building one very good deck for the purpose of getting you through a lot of duels quickly so you can easily grind them for DP. Once you have accumulated a lot of cards and are bored with your original deck it is then time to build another deck or experiment with the cards you have.
Make sure when you are putting together your decks you use the 'Related Cards' feature in the Deck Editor to see what cards have synergy and go well with the cards you want to build a deck with. You will go further in the game if you have one strong deck as opposed to several half-finished decks.

Spending DP on Character Booster Packs
Once you know what kind of deck you want to put together you will want to make sure that you spend your DP on the right character packs. Booster Packs are available in the Card Shop of Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist. Each Booster Pack is divided by the anime series they are based on, and depict a character from that series. Each individual pack, with the exception of the Grandpa Muto pack, costs 400 DP and contains 8 cards - any 7 Commons and 1 Rare.
If you are new to the game and unsure which Booster Packs to buy we reccommend Joey for Red Eyes and Jinzo cards, Kaiba for Blue Eyes cards, and Yugi for Dark Magician and spellcaster support. If you are after Exodia pieces and other general staple cards then get Yugi's Grandpa packs.
