Kero Blaster is a platform game where you control Kerotan, a frog, who works for Cat & Frog Inc., the company that developed
teleportation technology. Kerotan's job is to clean up the company's telecommunications gates which have been blocked by peculiar black creatures, called Negativus Legatia. Your objective is to work your way through a series of linear stages, by means of running, gunning and jumping. Kero Blaster is available on PlayStation 4, Vita, Switch, PC, and iOS. Upgrade the Pea Shooter to the Laser
In Kero Blaster you can upgrade the pea shooter weapon to the laser. It is recommended that you do this as soon as possible as the laser is good for piercing a boss's armour, making the fight easier. The downside to the laser is it is a bad choice for the run-and-gun sections of a stage as it demands accuracy which is difficult while you are moving.
How to get the Secret Weapon
In Kero Blaster there is a secret weapon called the Kuro Blaster which can be obtained when you have completed the game once in the same save and activated New Game+. The Kuro Blaster comes in three parts (gun and 2 upgrades).
1st Part - Area 1 (Hinterland Fort)
To get the first part you need to destroy the bridge in the 2nd area with the wide gun and follow the path underneath it to get the Kuro Blaster.
2nd Part - Area 3 (OXOX Hotel)
From the start, jetpack over the right wall and follow the path to get the first upgrade.
3rd part - Area 4 (White Laboratories)
To get the second upgrade you need to fall to the very bottom of the 'secret' hole in the first area, then use the flame thrower on the blocks.
Look for Secret Passages
Some of the walls in Kero Blaster contain hidden passages which may contain an extra life, or a stash of coins. These secret passages are scattered throughout the game, so it is always worthwhile pressing up against any nook or cranny that looks suspicious in the hope of finding one.
Buy the Heart Bonus First
At the Cat & Frog store there will be plenty of power-up weapons and items you can purchase with the coins you have earned. It is recommended that to begin with you spend your coins on the Heart Bonus as this will permanently increase Kerotan's maximum hearts by 1. You start with 2 Hearts (1 on New Game Plus) and each increase will cost incrementally more.

- 6th Heart - 600 Coins
- 7th Heart - 1200 Coins

Switch Weapons Accordingly
In Kero Blaster you will earn new weapons which have different properties and rates of fire whenever you defeat bosses. Make sure you take advantage of these weapons whenever possible by switching between those you have at your disposal according to the situation. For example, use the flamethrower when you need to deal with enemies at close range and the pea shooter for taking down enemies from long-range.
