Pokemon Diamond is the first "real" Pokemon game on the Nintendo DS. It supports the Nintendo Wi-fi Connection, allowing you to battle and trade with Pokemon trainers all around the world.Introducing new Pokemon,a new land, and several other new surprises,Pokemon Diamond will definetely be a success.
Pokemon Diamond version adds a new twist of graphics to the usual Pokemon visuals. The game is now partly 3-D,and as a result the game is a joy to watch. However, with the 3-D effect some sprites(mostly characters)get distorted as you move through the world. It can be difficult to focus sometimes because of this. The battle graphics are great. With more pixels, brighter colors, and cool attack appearances, this game does well in the graphics department.
Pokemon Diamond doesn't introduce many new sound effects ,but there is a lot of new battle themes and town themes. The Pokemon's cries are crystal clear in the Pokedex, though some cries of the older Pokemon sound rather muzzled.Overall, the game has great music and tunes.
This is the same as any other Pokemon RPG.You'll run througha large overworld, grabbing money by beating trainers, and leveling up your Pokemon. There are various towns, some of which have Gym Leaders.Beat these leaders for badges. With all eight badges, you can enter the Pokemon League and fight the Champion. There isn't much new here, but there are new touch screen activities to keep you occupied as you play, like the Poketch's 20+ functions and minigames like Baking Poffin.
For veteran Pokemon fans, you may not find this game to last much longer than a weak, but that's only if you rush through and don't stop to play various parlor tricks and find items. After beating the game you still can win Pokemon Contests, fight in the Battle Tower,go uderground(a new multiplayer feature allowing you to dig up items and get a secret base)connect to Wi-fi for battles and trades, and ofcourse, catch all of the Pokemon!
This game is a definite success.Whether it's the new Pokemon,The ability to connect to Wi-fi,or just the sheer plaeasure of a new Pokemon game,it's a definite enjoyable experience. With touch screen minigames, loads of battles, and more legendaries to blink at,these game has many extras as well.Look out for the Wii game Pokemon Battle Revolution, which links to your DP games and also hosts Wi-fi fights!
