At the 'Character' selection screen select 'Load' and enter the followng passwords (without the quotes) as a name to unlock the corresponding type of weapons.

Melee Weapons:

Enter 'MELEEDEATH'

Hazard Weapons:

Enter 'HAZARDOUS'

Personal Weapons:

Enter 'UNIQUEWPNS'

Ranged Weapons:

Enter 'GUNSMOKE!'
