Do I really need to make a new file after each level In every act or can I overwrite?

You can overwrite if you wish. I would recommend you to overwrite. To save memory on your PS3.

Usually you would overwrite but if you're doing something like trying to get the Foxhound or Big Boss emblems then it would be best to have a seperate file for each act just incase you make a mistake and find out you accidently killed someone at the end of the act if you haven't then you can just delete the seperate save, don't forget you can delete saves during thr game.
