To throw the tree you just have to press R1 and then repeatedly press O : )

To throw a tree you have to throw the tree first press R1 and then rapidly press 0 and don't give the presser on ps3 controller or on 0 button just have controller in your hand just press 0 button rapidly without giving the presser on it and have only some distance on 0 button.
