  Well hello there and how do you do. Welcome to my Boss Batttle FAQ.
for the wonderful game that is Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. This
FAQ. will cover all the basic Tips, Hints and Strategies that you will
need to know and learn in order to get past all of the bosses. Hopefuly
this FAQ. will help you with all the information that you need to know
and I hope that it makes you happy : ). Now why did I choose to do a
Boss Battle FAQ. for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater ( MGS3 ) I hear
you ask. The main reason being that they are awesome bosses and that
there are sooo many ways you can defeat them. So without further ado
let's get this FAQ. on the road!

       a. Tips			( MGS06 )
  These tips are for both the game and Boss Battles

 -- When killing enemys always use a silent method of killing them 
    such as choking them to death in CQC or tranquilzing them. Once
    there dead always hide their bodies so that other guards do not
    see them dead,  sleping etc.

 -- When near guards always use the D-Pad to sneak. Sneaking uses 
    stamina but makes alot less noise.

 -- Use all your equimpent and weapons that you have. Always use
    logic because the game is incredibly realstic. More often then
    not logic pays off.

 -- Use the First Person View ( R1 ) or your scope when entering
    a new area to find items, suss out guards paths etc.

 -- Take full advantage off the cardboard boxes but just make sure
    you use each one in the right area. Also imagine you are one of
    the guards. Would you think that the coardboard box looks odd or
    not?

 -- USE YOUR CAMOFLAUGE!!! Always use your camoflauge and face paint
    to blend into the environment. Also if say you are waiting for 
    the right momement to attack crouch or lay on your stomach to 
    blend into the environment even more. You always want the % in 
    the top right hand corner to be as high as possible!!

 -- The Motion Dector is your friend. Use it when ever you are unsure
    of the amount of guards there are.                                   

       b. FAQ.			( MGS07 )

asked questions and if so I'll put them here.

II. Boss Battles		( MGS08 )
  Before we go on how about some Boss Battle tips for all the bosses
hey. Here they are.

 -- Before going into a Boss fight bring food and lot's of it. So if
    you are running low on health eat some food to replenish both your
    stamina and health.

 -- Use your Camoflauge big time!

 -- Use the Cure menu. More often than not you will suffer a injury
    during a Boss fight ( indicated by a red piece in your helath meter )
    and if you do not heal it you will contiue to lose health. 

 -- Try and shoot in First Person Mode to aim for the vital parts
    such as the head.

 -- Bombarde them with bullets all the way until they fall on the
    ground. This means that you have hit them with the maxiaum amount
    of damage in one go.

 -- Use the quick reload trick. When your clip is nearly empty quickly
    press R2 to un-equip it then R2 again to re-equip. You will now have
    a fresh new clip in your gun. Perfect for some of the guns with the
    long re-load animations. Try firing two rockets per second! Sweeeet : )

 -- Use the special camos such as the Animals Camo. which reduces Hand
    Shaking when aiming with guns or the Fire Camo. Experment.

 -- Straight away at the begginging of a boss fight call everyone on your
    radio for useful tips, hints and tatics.


       a. Ocelot 		( MGS09 )
 Boss Name          : Ocelot
 Recommended Weapon : AK-47, MK22, SAA ( If you have it )
 
  Man that Ocelot is one cool guy. Alright this is nice simple Boss
fight. All it is a shootout. For this boss fight try to stay behind
cover for protection but then move around for a different cover 
because Ocelot will find away to hit you if you stay in the same 
cover too long. You want to aim at his head for maxiaum damage. When
he says something like 
 " I've never felt tension like this before. " 
What that means is he is reloading and it is a perfect time to bombarde
him with a fury of bullets. You can also shoot Ocelot's hat off which
will confuse him for a little while. When Ocelot comes out from behind
cover to attack you he will pause for a short while which will allow
you to always get the first few shots out. There is also a hornet's
nest on his side that you can also shoot to distract him and also allow
you to get a couple of head shots in. Try using the Fake Death Pill then
reviving yourself during your shoot-out for some pretty funny reactions.

Extras:
-- If you defeat Ocelot without using lethal force ( by using the MK22 )
you will be rewarded with the Animals Camouflage. The Animals Camoflauge
reduces hand shaking when aiming with guns.

-- If you have the SAA from a previous playthrough you can do a few things
with it.You can twirl it to catch Ocelot's attention ( duel ) and you can
use the ricocheting shots to hit him even when he's hiding or reloading
behind objects!

       b. The Pain		( MGS10 )
 Boss Name          : The Pain
 Recommended Weapon : Shotgun, AK-47, MK22

  Man this guy is a freak. Look at him! Anyway as soon as you begin equip
the Water Camo. The Pain has quite a few attacks and here are the main
ones.

Attacks
-- The Pain will throw some glass jars with some white stuff inside. When
the jars land and break the scent will hit you and attract the hornets. Simply
dive underwater to lose the hornets.

-- The Pain will start harping about his Tommy Gun. What happens is his hornets
will form a gun and begin to fire at you. Again simply dive in the water.

-- The Pain will yell "Gernade!" A group of his hornets will appear from no
where and they will begin to carry a gernade to you and the gernade will
expolde upon impact. So you can either shoot the gernade to blow it up or you
can swim underwater to get away.

-- A huge army of Hornets will gather around Snake. Snake will then shake
them off and dive underwater.

-- The same as above execpt the Hornets will be yellow and when they gather
around Snake The Pain will send a gernade comming your way.

-- I hate this move. A group of Hornets will gather around The Pain and
another group of Hornets will be the exact same as The Pain so that you
have too identical things on the stage! You then have to shoot one and if
you shoot the wring one The Pain will counter attack. 

-- The Pain only begins to use these after the cut-scene during mid battle.
The Pain will shout go my "Bullet Bees!" and fire his Hornets at you one
by one. They appear as red bullets because of their speed. If they hit you
go into the Cure Menu and to avoid his Bullet Bees simply dive underwater.

Now that that's out of the way let's talk tatics. Now you can only get
damage on The Pain when he isn't covered in Hornet's so when he is throw
some gernades at him to get rid of the hornet's. Then shoot him with your
Shotgun or if you have a bad aim get out your Ak-47 and bombarde him with
a fury of bullets. Like always try to aim for the head for maxaium damage.
When he starts harping on about his Tommy Gun dive into the water and swim
around and if you have the Water Camo. equipped your % in the top right hand
corner should be 100. There are some items scattered around the area and
there is also a life medince located in the South West corner. Again try
using a Fake Death Pill then re-viving yourself to get in a couple of cheap
shots. Try using the Raikov/Raiden mask to confuse him. 

Extras:
-- If you defeat him without using lethal force you will unlock the Hornet Strip
Camouflauge which keeps Hornet's leeches and Spiders away from you. You can
also tame the Hornet's! Next time you face the Pain ( on your next run through
he game ) use this Camo. as well as the Water Camo. for when you go in the
water.

-- To get his Camo. ( as his camo. will appear on the Rock Platform where
he was in the fight ) go to the right of the cave exit and follow the
path around. There is a ledge where you can roll off & land on The Pain's
platform.

       c. The Fear 		( MGS11 )
 Boss Name          : The Fear
 Recommended Weapon : Shotgun, AK-47, MK22
  I hate this Boss Battle the main reason breing is it's annoying! Espically
without Thermal Googles!!!! Anyway let's go over The Fear's attacks shall we.

Attacks
-- The Fear will fire three arrows at you in quick succession. Quickly
run around in circles and once the third arrow has been fired quickly
shoot him.

-- The exact same as the above but they fall from the sky.

-- The Fear peforms this move when he comes onto the ground looking for
food. He will run up to you and hit you. Roll out of the way to avoid it.

-- The Fear will fire a flaming arrow at you. If you get hit you can either
run around to shake off the flames or change your uniform.

-- This time he will fire three arrows in a row at you execpt they will have
a gernade each on them! Run around as to not get hit.

  Alright straight after the cut-scene go to the Cure menu and heal yourself.
The easist way to defeat the Fear is with the Thermal Goggles. If you don't
have the Thermal Goggles you can still defeat him it will just be a bit
harder. If you get hit by any of The Fear's arrows go into the Cure Menu and
heal it. Also watch out for all the different traps scattered around such as
the trip wires. These shouldn't be too hard to see though. Anyway if you have
the Thermal Goggles equipped you can see where The Fear is at all times : ).
When you fins him unload a army of bullets into him with your AK-47 or blast
him away with your shotgun. When his stamina get's low throw some food away.
Hopefuly he will come and get it. If he does blast him away with the Shotgun
because of it's great close range damage and if he dosen't come bad luck. 
You can also do this with food that is rotten or is poisned. If he picks it
up and eats it he will become sick and lose health. Another way of hurting
him I like is setting his own traps against him. If you are standing,
crouching whatever near a trap he will try and spring the trap against
you sometimes but you can counter it and spring the trap back on him. When
you see him come towards you quickly run away ( but not too far ) then quickly
punch and kick him and hopefuly he will hit the trap and injure himself. Use
a mixture of these tatics to win. Also The Fear is a bit smarter than The Pain
and Ocelot as he will not be fooled by the Fake Death Pill more than once. If
you use the pill a second time he will say something like:
   "You can't fool me again with your little pill"           
and then he will fire even more arrows into your body so don't say I didn't
warn you!

Extras:
-- Get shot by one of The Fear's arrows and Cure it with everything execpt the
knife and then let it heal. The arrow will stay there for the rest of the
game!

       d. The End		( MGS12 )
 Boss Name          : The End
 Recommended Weapon : Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, MK22
Thanks to Mystic_Clown for helping me with some of the extras of The End's!
  Man this is what Stealth Games are about. What I love about the End is
that there are so many ways you can defeat him. As well as that he is orignal!
This is what most games lack. Orignaltiy! : ). Anyway I will outline all the
different methods of killing the End but first I will explain his attacks.

Attacks
-- The End's primary attack is sniping you. He will snipe you with Tranquilzer
darts which means his choice of weaponis the Mosin Nagant Sniper Rifle!
Anyway if you are hit with one of his Tranquilzer's drats remove it by using
the Cure Menu. 

-- When you get too close to the End he will through a Stun Gernade at you and
run away to a different Sniping Point.

-- Once you have depleted The End's health or Stamina to one bar he will say a
prayer to restore his health. Once the prayer begins however there will be a
huge beam of light to find him by.

Tatics
If you look at the Map you will see that this Battle takes place over three
screens. The circles on the Map are possible sniping places that the End could
be at. If you get shot by The End look at the map and his postion will be
marked in red. You can also figure out his location by following his footsteps.
You can use the Directional Microphone for any noises that he could be making
such as heavy breathing, talking, walking, snoring etc. noises. Try looking
for glints of Sun Ray's from the End's muzzle on his Sniper Rifle. Also 
remember to have a good camofluage rating and to crawl around and sneak. No
running!!

Method 1
When you have located the End find a good advantage point and make sure that
the End does not see. Then equip your SVD and snipe him. Make sure you aim
for his head for maxiaum damage. Try and get to a postion such as on his flank
before you fire so that he can not return fire. 

Method 2
When you have found him sneak up on him and get behind him. If you are lucky
the old bugger might off fallen asleep which makes this easy. Get your shotgun
out and shoot at his head repatedly. The End will then get up and throw Stun
Gernades at you. Remember to look away. Then the old man will run away to a
new sniping point and dosen't he run fast for a 100 year old man! Then equip
your Thermal Goggles and follow his footprints to his new Sniping Point. Check
the map now and then to make sure your not nearing a Sniping Point. If you are
be very careful.

Method 3
This is by far the easiest and coolest. Save your game during the fight and
then load the game back up a whole week later. You can however go into your
Playstation 2 Configurtion System and change it like that as well. Then when
you load your game back up you will be treated to a little movie where Snake
finds The End but finds that he died of old age.

Method 4
Go into the Map screen menu and press:
    Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Square, Triangle
to show where the End is hidden on the map. You will have to put the code back
in every time you go to the map screen again. Now it's just a matter of either
sneaking up on him or Sniping him.

Extras:
-- A stamina depletion against The End awards you with his sniper rifle The
Mosin Nagant not his camo. This is a awesome gun and is excellent for stamina
depletion victories!!!              

-- To get The End's camo. you must hold him up. To do this you must sneak
up on him ( it's a good idea to wear the spirit camo. ) and point a shotgun
and only a shotgun at his head or his crotch. He will lay down but will not
give it to you. Repeat this two or three times and then The End will give you
his Moss Camofluage. This is the best Camoflauge in the WHOLE game. It gives
you 100% camoflauge in grassy areas and also restores your stamina when you
are in the light! If you have already played through the game previously
instead the End will give you three items instead of the Camo. that you
already had.

-- Sometimes the Camara will shift over to The End's. From this view you
should be able dodge any more shots that he fires at you and pinpoint The
End's current location. From mine and my brothers ( Mystic_Clown )
understanding this happens when you have been shot quite a bit and or
haven't found The End in quite a while.

-- You can capture and eat The End's parrot. Me and my brother Mystic_Clown
gave the parrot a name, Tic-Tac, how cute! Anyway we have found Tic-Tac
in various places and from our understanding the locations are differnet
on different diffulties and appear to be random. If you wish to find him
try looking in trees, plants etc. If you capture Tic-Tac alive in a cage
he will scream "GRANDPA, GRANDPA!"  and give away The End's postion.

       e. The Fury		( MGS13 )

 Boss Name          : The Fury
 Recommended Weapon : SVD, Mosin Nagant Sniper Rifle, MK22
  This guy is just too cool! Look at him! Flamethrower and all. That could
be why I like him soo much because of his flamethrower? I don't know but he
is just too damn' awesome!!!!LOOK AT HIM!!!!!Anyway sorry about that shall we
get on with it? I think we should.

Attacks
 -- The Fury's main attack is his flamethrower. It has a huge range so do
whatever you can to get out of there as quick as possible if he fires his
flamethrower. When The Fury sees you a exclamition mark will appear above
his head and he will shoot and 9/10 he will hit you.

 -- Whilst The Fury is flying his jetpack he will leave patches off flame
on the ground below. Try your best to avoid this.

 -- The Fury will initiate a countdown and when he reaches zero he will
blast of using his jetpack down the isle and will fill the isle with flames
and fire. To prevent this shoot The Fury before he reaches zero.

  First things first you can not attack The Fury from the front you must do
it from behind. Also the best camoflauge would be the Black one with the
Black facepaint or if you have The Fury's camo from a previous playthrow
equip that as you will not have to worry about the fire as his camo. is
fire proof. Now your little fight takes place in a little kinda of maze
with numerous aisles. Because of what The Fury is wearing when he walks
he makes a lot of noise so this will help you find him. Now sneak up
to the end of a isle and use the R3 button to rotate the camara around to
see if The Fury is in this aisle. If he is and is walking in the oppostie
direction grap out your SVD and aim for his head. Fire plenty of bullets
at his head and then run away as The Fury will fly down the aisle spraying
his flamethrower around. If however he is walking towards you when you rotate
the camara around the aisle equip your motion dectector and sneak to the
other end. When you near him crawl so that he does not see you and when at
the other end do the same thing. Keep repeating this to beat him and if your
battries are running low eat a glowcap mushroom to recharge them instantly.
If The Fury's health is nearly depleated once you are about to snipe him
instead of using the SVD use the Mosin Nagant Sniper Rifle to score you The
Fury's Camo or if you don't have that sneak up on him with your MK22 and
do it that way.

Alternative Method Using the Knife by GTASA..FAN

"The best weapon to use against The Fury is the knife as it damages his 
protective suit. I only had to combo him three times to kill him with 
the knife. To combo him just get close to him either by letting him 
come to you or stalking up behind him. If you combo him against the 
bottom edge (near the ledge), he will fall off, and you can run away 
before he gets back up."

I tried this out and I have to agree I like this method as it is good,
easy and fun.

Extras:
 -- Once The Fury's suit rips The Fury is more vunerable to explosions
    so...

 -- Blow up barrels  next to The Fury for awesome damage.

 -- You can shoot the pipes for water to extingush the flames. Only certain
    pipes will give water and you recieve less if you keep shooting at the
    pipe.

 -- Try using the SAA. Because of it's ricocheting bullets it is quite easy
    to damage The Fury around corners.

       f. The Sorrow		( MGS14 )
 Boss Name          : The Sorrow
 Recommended Weapon : None
  Woooo! Scary! Talk about guilt trips! This boss is soooooo easy if you have
not killed a single guard leading up to this boss battle.

Atacks
 -- All of the soliders and bosses that you have killed so far will come 
walking down the river in the form of ghosts. If they touch you, you will
lose health. These guys are easy to avoid just walk at an angle when you
see them comming.

 -- Occasionly The Sorrow will fire a blue streak at you but he always
telegraphs it so that you can simply walk at an angle to avoid it though
you should get hit at least once as a scary picture will flash on the 
screen and Snake will be knocked down. 

 Simply walk up the river sticking to one side so that you can move diagonally
to get past his blue streak and the ghosts. The ghosts actually are the ghosts
of all the soliders you've killed so the more you killed pior to this boss
fight the harder it'll be ( but not that much harder ). The second time I
played through the game I had killed no soilders leading up to this boss
battle so it was easy as. I reckon it's cool how they say stuff like how you
killed them such as:
   "AHHH! My neck's falling off!"
Ohh the good memories. Anyway contiue up the lake up until The Sorrow puts
you out of your misery. Nooo! Snakes dead! No silly no he's not. Before you
hit contiue press L2 to access the Revival Pill to wake up. After the Boss
fight if you look in your Camoflauges you will notice that you have The
Sorrow's spirit camo in there. 
 You can skip the whole Boss fight by immediately drowning yourself and then
when the "SNAKE IS DEAD" screen comes up you can use your Revival Pill. But
by doing this you will not recive The Sorrows Spirit Camo. after the fight
though so it's best just to do the Boss fight seeming as it is the easiest
boss in the game.

Extras:
 -- Try calling people on the radio. They will begin to act as if you have 
    died?

 -- If you killed Raidenovich you'll see him running around naked!

          Guns of the Patriots	
 Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is going to be fricken' awesome.
For straters it runs on the Playstation 3 and looks sweeeet! If you haven't
seen the trailer head to Gamespot to find out and also take a look at some
of the screnshots. MGS4 sees a older Snake many years after the events of
MGS2, "an old man exhausted of battle" says the trailer. Soilders patrol
the streets alongside tanks and robots. Snake isn't in the best health
either. He begins a coughing fit and injections a solution into his neck to
bring it in under control. Otacon is back : ) via a robotic sidekick and
can also provide ammo! It looks intresting and is going to be one of the best
videogame's ever! Can't wait!!

       b. What Next?		( MGS20 )
Well I am going to contiue to finish this FAQ. for the time being and that
