O============================================================================O

HI! And welcome to my first guide on the famed Final Fantasy X-2. There are
many FAQS on this game, and I wanted to be part of the huge pack of FAQS so I
created this walkthrough for each part of the "Road the the Farplane" dungeons.
I went through and played each of these dungeons a few times and made sure each
off these directions are correct. Most of them are straightforward, while
others have some difficulty to them. Please feel free to contact me, concerning
any questions you have about these areas, and I will respond ASAP. Please keep
in mind that I won't answer any emails that do not correspond to this FAQ,
please look up the correct FAQ holders for other questions you may have. Hope
this comes in handy to you!

One more thing I need to mention is if you having trouble on the three Aeons,
consult the Boss FAQ

Happy Gaming!! :D

The following part of the guide lists some suggestions of what your
characters should have in order to go through these dungeons. I'll start with
what they almost must have and then things that will make this a breeze. The
minimum shown is what you could go through with some difficulty, and the
suggested makes it much easier. Also note that just because it isn't listed
doesn't mean you shouldn't have it.

-Note-
Also note that once you complete either five of the dungeons, and return
to the Airship, Brother is no longer standing in the center, he is now at the
head of the Airship where you can teleport to the other temples or straight to
the Farplane Abyss.

O============================================================================O

ESTIMATED COMPLETION TIME:
1st Time: 20 minutes
2nd Time: 10 minutes
DIFFICULTY: EASY
BOSSES: SHIVA, MAGUS SISTERS, ANIMA (IF FIRST TIME COMING THROUGH)

When you arrive, you will see endless paths that all seem to lead down an
area. You'll also notice some areas unaccessible this time down. (My guess is
that all five areas are linked to one area, that is why many places seem
vaguely familiar). But other than that Shiva will come and fight you.

BOSS FIGHT: Shiva (SEE BOSS FAQ)

Jump down to the pathway and follow it, you'll come to a floating block so just
jump it and then you'll come to a fork. You can choose to go left, but it ends
with a moving block that takes you back to the beginning (There are many of
these along the way, one way takes you to a block that brings you back to the
area you were just at, I will mention this every time. And the other will have
you advancing). To proceed go to the right which has you following a path and
ending with another floating block. Here we are at the second fork; the right
path takes you back to the first fork and the left path takes you to the Magus
Sisters.

BOSS FIGHT: Magus Sisters (SEE BOSS FAQ)

A save point will appear, letting you rest up or if you aren't ready, or take
you back to the airship. If you decided to stay, venture forward which
will lead you to another path and yet again a fork in the path. Heading right
will take you right back after the save point and left will have you walking
even more to another floating block and then another fork. Right takes you back
so left will take you forward, you will come to a bunch of blocks, once you
jump to one you automatically jump the rest and land on a platform away from a
large open area. This platform will take you to a battlw with Anima!

BOSS FIGHT: ANIMA (SEE BOSS FAQ)

Once you beat him you will be transported to the Farplane Abyss, I now strongly
urge you to continue through the remaining four to receive once of the best GG
in the game.

O============================================================================O

ESTIMATED COMPLETION TIME:
1st Time: 20 minutes
2nd Time: 10 minutes
DIFFICULTY: SEMI-EASY
BOSSES: SHIVA, MAGUS SISTERS, ANIMA (IF FIRST TIME COMING THROUGH)

If it's your first time through then you'll have to fight Shiva, see the Boss
section for a description on how to beat her. Otherwise this level provides a
little more difficulty then Besaid's. Now they're going to be little flames on
the ground that become big and then go back to being small. You goal is to
run through or in some cases, to jump fast and avoid contact.

     -Flame Geysers-
"If you make repeated contact with the flames, you will be sent back to one of
the flames you've already touched."

What does this mean? Well basically if you get hit by a flame when it's high,
Yuna will stumble and then from now on if you make contact with any flame twice
in a row then you'll be taken back to the one you already made contact with.

After the first flame you will walk down a path and come to two more flames,
evade them and jump the block. You'll come to a flame here where you can run
past it and then you will need to jump quickly and jump again to avoid
the flame on the block. If you don't think you can make the jump again, then
move to the side so it can't hit you and then wait ofr it to go down. There
will now be a set of three blocks you will need to jump and will lead you to
the Magus Sisters if you haven't already beat them. If you have then there will
be a save point for you to use.

When you're ready head forward and shortly after there will be a teleporter
that will take you to another path with two flames this time. Get past
them and the next set of blocks will be jumped for you, this path you just
arrived at will have four flames you will need to run past, then there will be
two blocks with a flame on each you will need to avoid. Then the last flame
will be in front of you which can be avoided easily allowing you to jump down
to Anima.

ESTIMATED COMPLETION TIME:
1st Time: 25 minutes
2nd Time: 15 minutes
DIFFICULTY: Low-Medium
BOSSES: SHIVA, MAGUS SISTERS, ANIMA (IF FIRST TIME COMING THROUGH)

As usual, if this is your first time through all the bosses will be here,
and Shiva will battle you first. If you're following the guide then let me say
this is the second hardest dungeon of all five, even though it's still not that
hard.

Head to the left and run along the pathway taking you to a block fork. Head
right first to create the block path later on. You will be transported to a
small island which will look like this.

__Start__

To activate this mini game you will need to walk up to block one and
press "X" now send block "1" to number "3", then send block "2" to
number "2" and finally block "3" to number "1". If you mess up just go to the
yellow dot at the top to reset the blocks

-Note- There are other combos but this is what worked for me.

Now backtrack to the bottom area and the transporter will come back for you.
When you come back head to the left block, and jump three more blocks after
that first one. You will now be walking on a path that will come to a set of
four blocks and the last one will transport you to the Magus Sisters. If you
have beat them then the save point is there for you to save.

Keep going straight and you'll come to what looks like a fork, but the upper
path won't allow you to jump up there (It's from another Temple Hole) so
continue left or down. You're going to basically head down and around by
dropping off three consecutive paths, and then to the famous three blocks that
are automatically jumped for you. When you reach this path there will be a long
walk ahead, and then you will see two blocks and jumping to the first will
reset you to the beginning of the the walk, so just run downwards back to the
path and jump the remaining block which leads you to Anima.

ESTIMATED COMPLETION TIME:
1st Time: 15 minutes
2nd Time: 7 minutes
DIFFICULTY: Very Easy
BOSSES: SHIVA, MAGUS SISTERS, ANIMA (IF FIRST TIME COMING THROUGH)

So if it's your first time through, you get to battle Shiva. If not I just want
to mention that this is the easiest/shortest of the dungeons. So this would be
a good choice if you just want to go through once.

The camera starts you so you see Yuna and she sees you, so head down the very
long and curvy path. You're gonna need to jump the block and then land on the
platform where you will fight the Magus Sisters, or if you already beat them it
will be a save point.

Continue on straight and jump the block, then you'll have to run along another
long and curvy path which ends with the famous three auto jump blocks. When you
land there will be one final long path which ends with a battle with Anima.

O============================================================================O
                      Calm Land's Gorge Walkthrough A1400
O============================================================================O

ESTIMATED COMPLETION TIME:
1st Time: 30 minutes
2nd Time: 20 minutes
DIFFICULTY: Medium
BOSSES: SHIVA, MAGUS SISTERS, ANIMA (IF FIRST TIME COMING THROUGH)

Probably the most challenging dungeon of them all. The last hole you
can choose to jump in. You start with the obvious battle with Shiva, then
continue on straight and jump to the next path which ends with a blue light
coming up from the ground. These are teleporters that teleport you to another
teleporter.

You're gonna have to run over the next two flames when they're down,
then jump to the next path. There's another flame, which you dodge and continue
the path until you come to a block with a flame on it, jump when the flame is
still high but right when it's going to go down and quickly jump twice. There
will be one more block which takes you to the Magus Sisters. Save and then
continue to the next block.

Jump the gap and go into the teleporter. You'll now run along a curvy path
where you jump down to a ledge and then jump again to a teleport. Go straight
forward on this next part and you will finally come to the last auto jumping
blocks. You're now gonna want to go left to a teleporter and then you will have
a choice to make. When you come and think about it you're gonna wanna think
that you need to go down but you actually want to go up. If do you go down
you're gonna come to a teleporter which will take you back to the up and down
fork. So go up by jumping to the ledge and going to the teleporter. You will be
put on a path and going left will take you back to that decision area while
right leads you on a path to Anima.

                              Boss Guide A1500
O============================================================================O

=============================
Boss Name: Shiva
=============================
HP: 14800
MP: 9999
EXP: 8000
GIL: 2000
ATTACKS: Blizzaga (400-600dmg), Basic Attack (300-400dmg), Diamond Dust
(1000dmg) (Overdrive), and Heavenly Strike(1/2 HP/MP, may stop character)

--- Strategy #1 ---

I'll mention the most common of all boss strategies. Just in case some people
don't know them. First have two of the three girls be Dark Knights, each turn
have them use darkness, then have the final girl be either an Alchemist and
mixing potion/hi-potion when low on hp or using White Mage to do
Curaga/Life/Protect.

Now for your protection, use anything that nulls ice magic and it wouldn't hurt
to use some defensive accessories either.

---End Strategy #1---

--- Strategy #2 ---

If you want a harder challenge. Equip one or two girls with the Blackmage DS
and have them use Firaga, then if you only used one have the other girl be
either a Warrior/Dark Knight/Berseker and have them get an attack in right
before the Firaga is cast. Of course have White Mage or Alchemist as your
healer. Shiva's attacks do some damage but nothing you can't heal.

Remember to use accessories that half and null ice magic and heal
every time heavenly strike and diamond dust are used. She goes down
fast if fought correctly.

---End Strategy #2---

--- Strategy #3 ---

The girl's special DS works pretty nice against the aeon, continue using it
with their strong attack and heal, and once you get low on HP. Switch out and
get another one, the GG Unerring Path is a nice thing to have equipped to
switch to their special GG fast.

---End Strategy #3---

=============================
Boss Name: Magus Sisters
=============================

Mindy:
HP: 9788
MP: 9999
EXP: 3000
GIL: 1000
ATTACKS: Blizzaga (500dmg), Passado (15hits about 80% of HP), Wataga (500dmg),
Firaga (500dmg), Thundaga (500dmg), and Delta Attack (All girls HP to
1)(Overdrive)

Candy:
HP: 10330
MP: 9999
EXP: 3000
GIL: 1000
ATTACKS: Razzia (200dmg), Delta Attack (All girls HP to 1)(Overdrive)and Basic
Attack (100-300dmg)

Cindy:
HP: 12240
MP: 9999
EXP: 3000
GIL: 1000
ATTACKS: Demi (25% HP DMG), Not-So-Mighty Guard (Shell, Regen and Protect),
Absorb (HP/MP absorbed to Cindy), Camisade (200-400DMG), Delta Attack (All
girls HP to 1) (Overdrive), Regen (Regen), and White Highwind (Recover 35% HP
and most staus alignments)

---Strategy #1 ---

I'll mention the most common of all boss strategies. Just in case some people
don't know them. First have two of the three girls be Dark Knights, each turn
have them use darkness, then have the final girl be either an Alchemist and
mixing potion/hi-potion when low on hp or using White Mage to do
Curaga/Life/Protect.

---End Strategy #1---

---Strategy #2 ---

Now this is one of the hardest bosses in the game, they can make you
very mad with all the healing and protecting they do. They also have very high
agility which gives them quite a few attack before you can make yours. If you
don't want make it easy with Dark Knights at least have an alchemist to use
mega-potions EVERY turn. Then get someone with very high ACC and widdle away,
or you can toss items which always will hit.

Watch out if they all are still alive aftern it's been awhile because they will
use their overdrive Delta Attack which will take your characters down to 1 HP
each. All the other attacks will do a lot of damage but are easier to heal.

---End Strategy #2---

---Strategy #3 --- Contributed by EltharionX

If you have a lot of Gil to use and none of the other strategies work for you.
Use the Samurai's spare change ability to kill them all in a couple of turns.

---End Strategy #3 --- Contributed by EltharionX

--- Strategy #4 ---

The girl's special DS works pretty nice against the aeon, continue using it
with their strong attack and heal, and once you get low on HP. Switch out and
get another one, the GG Unerring Path is a nice thing to have equipped to
switch to their special GG fast.

---End Strategy #4---

=============================
Boss Name: Anima
=============================

HP: 36000
MP: 9999
EXP: 6000
GIL: 2000
ATTACKS: Oblivion (600-700dmg)(Overdrive), Stare (200-300dmg Causes Poison) and
Pain ( 200-300dmg Negative Status Effects and \Lower Stats)

---Strategy #1 ---

I'll mention the most common of all boss strategies. Just in case some people
don't know them. First have two of the three girls be Dark Knights, each turn
have them use darkness, then have the final girl be either an Alchemist and
mixing potion/hi-potion when low on hp or using White Mage to do
Curaga/Life/Protect.

Some accessories that are nice to have are anything that protects
against status alignments. And anything to add to defense

---End Strategy #1---

---Strategy #2 ---

For a different approach I would recommend, a girl being an Alchemist or White
Mage as a healer, then a songstress to use her singing ability to keep your
stats high (They are decreased from "Pain") and the final girl something with
high attack power (I.E Warrior, Dark Knight, or Berserker) Keep at this for a
long battle or switch out the songstress to one of the attacks mid-battle.

Be ready with a Remedy or Esuna every time he uses Pain so the girls can
continue fighting. Also keep your HP because he can do some strong attacks back
to back.

These are the monsters that appear throughout the dungeons, Some can be tough
so use this chart to be prepared for what is next.

-NOTE-
I did not add the Bribe/Steal/Oversoul parts to the monsters because this guide
does not cover that, please view the guides that cover only those topics.
-NOTE-
I also did not put the type of enemy or special notes, all I wanted was to show
you what enemies you would face.

O============================================================================O

Q: Why should I go through each and every underground dungeon?
A: Because it gives you completion points and one of the best GG
"MEGIDDO" which allows you to cast Ultima and Flare.

Q: Do I have to fight Shiva, Magus Sisters, and Anima every time I go through a
different dungeon?
A: No, once you beat them your first time through you won't have to again.

Q: Your boss strategy doesn't help me, what should I do?
A: Well you have a couple of choices, either look up the bosses in a more
detailed FAQ, or contact me and I will explain it a bit easier to understand.

Q: How come the "AESHMA" enemy is immune to all my attacks?
A: Well the most obvious way is to use two dark knights using darkness and have
Rikku be a healer. The spoils aren't that high so he's not really worth
fighting.
-Contributed by "Auradream18"

Q: Can I submit my own boss faqs to you?
A: Yes, you will get credit and I will post them if they are clear and
different enough from mine.

Q: When/Where do I get the GG "Megiddo"?
A: When you complete the final dungeon, and reach where Anima
would've been there will be a cut-scene where you get it

Q: I see so many other ledges/pathways that I never went on, how/where can I
access them?
A: Truth is, you already did if you went through all the dungeons. My
hypothesis is that they're all connected since the Aeons don't reappear when
you go to a new one.

Q: Brother is not standing in the middle of the Airship where is he?
A: You should try looking in the front center of the airship, where he is
driving. A new route will open up letting you go to the Farplane Abyss.

Q: Is there a certain way to go through each hole?
A: No, as for as I know you can go through any hole in any order. But to be
completly safe, start at Besaid and go on.

you out, since this is the Final version I have stopped accepting tips and
strategies, this guide will no longer be updated with new info since there is
nothing left to say, and this game is now a few years old.
