For those that have not played the game up to this part turn away now to avoid ruining the gaming experience.ahem.....the final battle against "luther"is extremely difficult as he is at a very high level,the highest in the game so care is needed.first off the team,and the best team for this battle is:striker,brawler,healer but not required in that order.the team members are:fayt leingod,sophia esteed,cliff fittir.the reason why this team is the best is because:the striker fayt,is quick and to the point and so he's good at fast attacks to confuse the enemy.the healer sophia,has a wide array of healing an elemental symbols and so she can heal the striker,she is also a triple threat as she has strong support,defensive and offensive symbols.the brawler cliff,is a all rounder powerhouse who has the speed of a striker and physical strength comparable to sophia's attack symbols.his job is to keep enemies busy and away from the healer.now people who play this game should be told there are actually two final battles that involve the same boss.in the final battle part1,luther will be just your average fourth dimensional being.but in part2 he fuses himself to the universe and becomes vastly more powerful and he can now fly.at this stage in the game fayt should know the "dimension door" attack which is his most powerful attack.sophia should know explosion,ex heal and farie light.cliff should know all of his hammer attacks and megaton attacks and should learn healing early in the game.you should also be at level 65 or higher(although when I first beat the game I was only at level 55-58.).and if people don't know already this game has a secret two player mini game that you can find on the second planet you land on in an ancient underground city.it's called the celestial chess board or something and allows a second player to participate,but only in the mini game.
