No. It's just there if you have inactive superstars and you have no more room for matches in your brand. So just book them in matches in velocity/heat.
No, it only increases the winning superstars Exp. And in rare cases, will increase that superstars popularity up by one point...
They are well worth using, very handy to bring a CAW's attributes up and yes they can affect popularity, so it's good if you can get a low price wrestler with low pop and build him up.
