Question for The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age

I am stuck and cannot find a way out. I really need you guys to get going forward.

I have started all over, bought a new game thinking it was maybe the tape/game iitself. The new game, I started all over, (twice) and get stuck in the same place every time. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have completed all but one quest. East Moria, " Lorien's Golden Helm".

I would appreciate any and all responses as soon as possible. I have been working on this and trying to find solutions myself for about 2 months now. I know one of you will have the right answer.

Oh, if I even try to go over the "Bridge-of-Az-Kadum" it locks up

Listen, all I know is you go to the platform just before the bridge and one of the chests has in it the helm. (You can't go over the bridge of Khazad-Dum, your character only stands there when you fight the Balrog thing. It's not accessable.)
