How do I make the big jump in metal city on the mission where you have to get over six pices of junk and it is near the finish line?

You either have to fly or hold on to your air and then jump on a ramp.
While near the ramp , hold X + left analog stick down ... Then , try releasing it at the very edge of the ramp ...
You should make your way up there and get the piece of junk .
