Question for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

How I can avoid the traps with spikes?I know that I have to walk slowly but I don't know how to do that...(at playstasion 2)

Well first don't do anything w/the bar just move it untill it pointing out. Then jump to the tube and keep jumping until you fing the next one the move it clockwise untill you can jump again then you see the simbol and after that you press it and keep goin
