It's after you beat enough races on 1 turf and it becomes youres but youll have to race the boss in 2 races
A turf war is the battle over territories owned by different crews. The more races you win on one turf the closer you get to owning it.
A Turf War is when you face a Boss on their turf. You just race them for their turf.
The races against a boss too gain their turf. You have to first rac in the city then a canyon duel
For example when you take over all of the tfk crew's territory wolf (aka the owner of tfk) will offer for you to race him twice as will all the other crews' bosses. This is a turf race and once you win you will officially own tfk's territory and be able to move on to the next crew. Hope I helped out.
