How do I defeat the robot (on jak and daxter the precursor legacy)? I have managed to do the first four parts of the robot, however the bit with the white eco confuses me as I don't know how to get it and die tying everytime.

You don't "get" white eco. The cut scene comes on when you have damaged it enough and it shows you getting the white eco and you kill it in the cut scene.
You run over to the white eco then it goes to a cut scene then have fun watching gol and maya get their butts kicked good luck.
Just wait a few seconds after the second to last cutscene ends. When you see a ball of Light Eco, just run over and snag it. That's really it.
