No you don't have to, infact theres the option to try and barter with him. When he makes his offer, around 300,000 half it or offer around 175,000 he will raise it and continually ask if you can strike a deal. Be careful however, if you get greedy and offer him something he deems to be an insult he will reject you, you get around 3 offers in total so I would end/ agree upon a fee at somewhere around the 215,000 mark, your not going to get much lower than that. If you offer him double that what he asks you will also recieve a bonus sphere, and another for retrieving yojimbo after zanarkand.

Not exactly you can offer yojimbo a price a little lower than his full price to get him to make a lower offer and you can do this a couple of times. There are also three differant prices depending on the answer you give to the question he asks. You get anima in the baaj temple to find it use the search in the navimap and it will be on the left side of the map. Its no that easy to get him you have to have used the destruction sphere's in all the cloister of trials and opened the treasure chests there are six in total including zanarkand.
