How do you easily defeat EVRAE for the first time (on the airship). Thank..

You don't EASILY defeat him. I reccomend starting by training a lot on the fiends inside the ship before going to fight him. Level your characters up. If someone (preferably Auron) has a weapon with Evade and counter, equip it. It makes the process drastically easier. For the first few minutes, just keep the ship away from him. Every few turns, Cid will launch a salvo of missles at him. Have Rikku continuously use Al Bhed potions to keep your team alive. While you're away from EVRAE, as in not close, used the command to pul further away, just use Any magic you can to hurt him. You get three salvos from Cid before he runs out, then I reccomend moving in. If you stay away more when he is under 10,000, EVRAE will swoop in for nearly unavoidable damage. Your active party at this point should be Tidus, Auron, and Rikku. Rikku should ALWAYS be using al bhed potions at least every other turn during this fight, so make sure to buy plenty inside. Auron and Tidus should just attack a lot, overdrive if they can. When he tries to hit your dude who has evade and counter, your guy will not get hurt and will attack in return. It is massively helpful to have that ability, but it can be done without it, just requires more healing from Rikku. Took me a few tries first time through, so be patient. Hope I helped.

OMG he is easy if you have kmahri learing white magic. I used lulu's double cast( don't no if you can use it yet)my auron did 5000damage and I had wakka doing 1500damage and I used tidus to haste all. His only got 45000 so use charge auron, rikku lulu, wakka and tidus's gauge up with warrior or victor
I usally get 6-7 casts with lulus overgauge so tats 3-5000damage, rikkus mix use ability sphere and any elemental item with it and you will cast enother 6 shots, then have auron use his tats 9999 and wakka's, tats 4000damage and tidus's 3000damage. Then tell cid to go back and heal all your chars with kamhri and use some hi-potions, then have wakka and lulu atk it and sooner or later he comes swooping in then quickly use kamhri and use al bhed potion **you might not be able to use this on kamhri**(i spend 4 AP to go learn it while I went with yunas white magic) and then finish him off.....

I think only 1 of my char died in tat battle

Keep ship far away from Evrae, and Cid will launch Salvo's of missiles at him! (woohoo) high hits, make sure you haste all your characters, have rikku, lulu and wakka after that (they should all be haste) then just hit it with wakka ball (wow thats a long throw!!!) and slow it and Magic it with the highest spells you got! (the GA spells hopefully, but A work too) if it poions paralyses etc just have Rikku use al bhed potion to heal all quite nicely and also cures stuff when it gets down to low hp and comes in close don't try to run because he just follows you. Get out Tidus Auron and Rikku for healing and just hit and hit

You should should stay away from EVRAE with many ega potions and al bhed potions and use magic and wakka's ball if you want to finish quickly fill the overdrives first then fight it from far away and drop it's health to 10000 then attack with cid's attacks then rikku keeps healing with albhed potion and tidus and auron keeps attacking.

The easiest way I have found is to teach Rikku "Reflect" ASAP. If you have it, this fight is pretty simple. Reflect one of your party members, then cast reflect on Evrae. Cast "Slow" on the party member that has reflect and it'll hit Evrae. Spend the rest of the time far away from him so that Cid launches missiles. Cheer with Tidus, chip away at it's health with Wakka. Once it gets low enough, it will swoop in close and then attempt to cast "Haste" on itself until the end of the battle. Since it has reflect, it'll just bounce onto one of your party members. It will attempt to cast this after every turn, so it can be a bit tedious, but the only other move I saw was Petrify, once.

I found that using spare change and auron works but GO AWAY FIRST AND RANGE IT
