How do you get valefor to learn energy blast instead of energy ray?plz

When you beat yunalesca,which then as you might know you can use the airship to go places,so go to besaid and talk to the girl thats playing with her dog to get it.

you don't have to defeat Yunalesca for getting Energy Blast overdrive, just go back to Besaid Village make sure you talk with the girl in the very first tent on the left side then go to the last tent on the right side and there will be the dog just talk to the dog and you can get the Energy Blast at the very beginning of the game, I know this is an old post, however fortunately they have released the Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster, so perhaps some folks will come around to this forum, so one more time, you can get Energy Blast at the very beginning of the game, you don't have to beat Yunalesca near to the end of the story, I'm so glad for Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD, I'm going to get the Platinum trophies for both HD Remaster of FFX and FFX-2, this game is can't be bored, it's my favorite FF

edit: also in the very first tent just right on the left side, the Lady says "you know the funniest thing happened" or "you know something funny happened" and in the case if you don't find the dog in the last tent on the right inside then the dog must be outside just right before the temple hanging out with a girl talk to the dog and get the Energy Blast from the dog's mouth

and don't forget, you really can get Energy Blast at the very beginning of the game, defeating Yunalesca isn't a must but for a trophy in the HD Remaster version

After wakka givs you the sword you go to the shop and talk to the girl behind the counter and when you leave she will say "you know the funnyist fing happend" and wen she stops talkin go to where the cloth is made and talk to the dog and you get both energy ray and energy blast

you said "you get both energy ray and energy blast" this is wrong, Energy Ray comes with Valefor by default automatically so you just get the Energy Blast from the dog which is optional, I know this one is a very old topic, but now that Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Released and the guys who replays it but didn't know about Energy Ray or even who haven't played with it then now they can and maybe they come around here, I want them to see really correct answers, I have done it 100% on PS2 now I will get the Platinum Trophy for both Final Fantasy X HD and Final Fantasy X-2 HD, gonna do it again, will be a long one, haha

In Besaid village, there is a woman who says her dog had found something. If you talk to the dog (if you do this before leaving Besaid the 1st time, the dog is in the top right tent, if you come back when you get the airship, the dog is in the square). It will say the dog dug up something mangled and slobbery, and Valefor will leran energy blast.
